Why does a QR code need clear space around it?

The quiet zone lets a reader separate the QR boundary from its background. Keep at least four modules of clear space on every side; frames, text, and ads must not enter that area.

What should be tested before printing?

Print at 100% scale; test low-, mid-, and high-range phones; test matte and glossy surfaces separately; confirm the destination domain. Scan the final design PDF and a physical print sample.

What changes when a logo is added?

A logo covers data modules. Prefer Q or H error correction, strong contrast, and a small logo. Error correction does not guarantee recovery from poor design, so final print testing remains required.
